Saturday Training
The next Saturday Training is on 4th February 2012. True to form, the weather has plummetted as the weekend approaches. It was -7 when I left for work this morning. I will do an inspection tonight and update the website but it will need a good increase in temperature for it to go ahead. UPDATE: I've just done a pitch inspection (5pm Friday) and the ground is rock hard and the temperature is already at -2. It will take a small miracle for training to go ahead. I will update website in the morning.
UPDATE SATURDAY MORNING: It's 8am and the temperature has gone up to a heady 2*. Unfortunately, whilst the frost is disappearing, the ground is still rock hard and dangerous. Therefore, I have no option but to cancel training yet again. I assure you I don't take these decisions lightly. Hopefully next week.
Some of you will have noticed that the Rugby club have still been training despite the hard ground, but I hope you realise that the safety of your children is my primary concern and, in my opinion, the hard ground presents too many dangers, in respect to slipping and falling with the potential to result in sprains, or even breaks.
